In the 2th century Quinta da Moita Longa was a roman villa. In the 12th century was a property of the Knight Templars and since 1434 a royal forest of the kings of Portugal.
The Quinta da Moita Longa is an old aristocratic estate, secluded from the outer world and situated in the midst of a wild natural scenery with deciduous and fruit trees.
